How to use an airport taxi directory (and book a ride that actually shows up)

An airport taxi directory is not a booking app. CabNearAirport lists licensed local taxi and minicab companies that already run airport transfers — organised by the city, airport and nearby pickup zone you actually travel from.

Start with the place you are travelling from

Open the homepage search or the airport taxi map and type a city, area or postcode. The directory is built around pickup zones, not a single national queue. That is why a London listing and a Manchester listing are different companies with different cars.

• Cities group nearby airports and towns.
• Airport pages show operators covering that terminal.
• Town and locality pages list companies that collect from your area.

Compare the listings, then contact the company

Each listing is a real taxi company page. Read the coverage, vehicle notes and contact details, then call or WhatsApp the operator for a quote, pickup time and meeting point. We do not take a cut of the fare and we do not sit in the middle of the booking.

Tipp. Shortlist two companies. If the first cannot cover your time, the second already has your details.

What “booked” should mean

A confirmed job has a time, a price, a vehicle type and a phone number you can ring. Screenshot or save the thread. On the day, you are dealing with that company — not with CabNearAirport — which is the point of a directory.

Search the zone, pick a local firm, then speak to them. That is the whole product.
